Counselling & Family Therapy

Through my private practice on the Gold Coast, I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families.

I'm dedicated to providing high quality, collaborative care, and take the time to understand the unique circumstance of each client. In partnership with my clients, we develop clear goals for therapy, deliver tailored evidence-based treatments, and monitor and track progress towards therapy goals.

I commonly help people and families to manage concerns related to

  • Anxiety and Stress

  • Depression

  • Trauma

  • Family and relationship difficulties

  • Family transitions (e.g., separation and stepfamilies)

  • Parenting

  • Adolescent challenges (e.g., peer problems and identity)

  • Grief and Loss

  • Behavioural difficulties

  • Low self-esteem

As a registered practitioner with Medicare Australia, I accept referrals under The Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.

This initiative supports doctor referrals for treatment plans, that lets you claim for up to 10 sessions each calendar year with a mental health professional.

1 hour consultation: $190

Medicare rebate if eligible: $126.50

Top cover extras in a private health fund may also give a rebate. Please check with your private health fund prior to booking a consultation.

Cancellation of appointments require 24 hours notice, otherwise a $50 fee will be incurred.

Seminars and Classes

Due to the high demand for my clinical services I have developed a series of events open to the general public for those interested in learning psychological concepts from a qualified health professional.  My hope is to reach a wider audience and positively influence many people's lives through useful, informative and relevant conversations.

Supervision for Health Professionals

I am passionate about supervision and provide mentoring and guidance to other counselling and health professionals.  This can be through face-to-face supervision at my Gold Coast office in Burleigh Heads, as well as web-conferencing supervision for professionals outside of this area.

I also provide group supervision to government and non-government organisations.  I travel extensively throughout South East Queensland to assist mental health and counselling teams to reflect on their clients needs and develop effective treatment plans for high quality care.

Please contact me directly for information related to this service and the fee schedule for various forms of supervision.

QIFT and Compass Seminars Australia have a strong collaboration and we are proud to present workshops for Compass across Australia.
